Compliance Officer - Bi-Lingual English/Czech

My Client is a CFD and spreadbetting firm and they are looking for a bi-lingual Compliance officer. You will be able to speak and write in both English and Czech.

Compliance Officer Role

The purpose of the position is to serves as liaison between Compliance and the assigned business units on identifying and addressing compliance concerns as changes are made to business processes, new initiatives are undertaken, or new regulations are issued.

Regular activities will include:-

Ensuring day-to-day operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements

Ensuring compliance to company’s policies and procedures by conducting ongoing testing of the business operations and procedures

Perform risk assessments on assigned business unit and report identified risks

Assisting with training of staff

Assists in responding to requests from UK and international regulators

Assisting with responding to complaints

Coordinating the review and interpretation of new and pending laws and regulations that potentially affect the business operations

Monitoring and testing ongoing activities of assigned business units to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and business procedures. Monitoring may include testing, periodic monitoring, and risk assessments

AML monitoring, Transaction Monitoring and Reporting

Requirements of the Compliance Officer

We are only able to consider candidates who are able to communicate in English and Czech or Slovakian at business level, both verbally and in writing. The additional language of polish would be an advantage, but not essential.

The candidate will be willing and able to travel to our business partners’ office in Slovakia and Czech on a regular basis, business trips will involve overnight, or several days stay.

They will have a minimum of two - three year’s experience gained in Compliance in a Trading environment,

In addition they will have:-

A degree or equivalent

The ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with assigned business units

Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize several projects at a time

Experience in submitting SARs and STORS
